Plot[]
Izzie, Cooper, Logan, and Mr. Oz were chasing a Class 4 anomaly that came through a rift in the Fantasy Realm that led to Fourth Street while facing a few problems, such as Sputnik continuously breaking down and Cooper not remembering how the Wacky-Tracky works before finding the rift and discover the anomaly was a Siren before they lure it back through the rift, and Mateo and Zoey ensnare it with a Z-Blob rope before riding with Zian to take the Siren back to the Murky Realm. However, when they get there, they discover it is no longer in its dark cloud before the Siren eventually escapes.
Back at the observatory, Mr. Oz contacts Royce, who was annoyed the former didn't come to Castle Nocturnia to personally give him the report, until Mr. Oz informs him of their situation. Curious, Royce switches from the phone to a hologram before demanding the outcome of the situation. When informed of the Siren, Royce mentions they never leave the Murky Realm, until Mr. Oz tells him how it's gone before the former asks about the Sandman, who may also be missing with the Murky Realm gone. Royce then goes on to tell Mr. Oz to continue the latter's objective of keeping Brooklyn secure while he investigates it himself.
The following morning, Mateo and Izzie are surprised to see their father had made pancakes, which he never did before he tells them that he wants them to come to Dumbo Park as he wants them to, to Mateo's shock and Izzie's surprise, meet his girlfriend, Jasmin, before Mateo drags Izzie out of the house to walk to school. As they walk, Mateo reveals he is frustrated that their father has now moved on from their mother before Izzie tells him they must move on as well.
At school, Mateo and Izzie meet up with Cooper, Logan, Zoey, and Mr. Oz, who talk about the Never Witch, whom Zoey last saw at the Shadowkeep with Izzie insisting on setting a trap, but Mr. Oz objects as Izzie still doesn't remember her skills and they have to comply with Royce's orders, until the bell rings. Before they get to class however, they hear a familiar tune and discover Sirens had entered their school, and immediately barricade themselves in Mr. Oz's classroom. Surprised there are incursions during the day, which hasn't happened for decades, because with the Sandman's disappearance, someone is daydreaming. Since the Lumi-Casters won't work during the day, Mateo and Zoey will lure the Sirens out while Izzie and Cooper find the daydreamer, Logan'll head to the principal's office and use the PA system to wake the daydreamer up, and Mr. Oz locates the rift. Briefly interrupted by a call from his father, Mateo hangs up and they begin their plan.
Izzie and Cooper discover seven students were daydreaming in random classrooms as the Sandman's disappearance has already taken a toll on them, opening multiple rifts. Mateo and Zoey discover a Siren heading for the library, and head in to see the librarian entranced by its tune before Zoey strikes it, grabs some headphones for herself and Mateo, and goes to lure the Siren out while Mateo distracts the librarian. Following a Siren in the cafeteria, Izzie and Cooper discover several more had entered through an open window. Briefly separated from Zoey, Mateo discovers Dallas was now knitting beanies that had became popular before his father calls again, begging his son to move on from his mother until he encounters a Siren and hangs up before encountering Zoey, who was chased by one herself before they head for the cafeteria to lure them to the rest of the Sirens, and give Izzie and Cooper some headphones. As they were all surrounded, they discover the Sirens have now taken a shine to tacos before they take a tray out to lure them out of the school, where they meet up with Mr. Oz, only for his car to break down again before Mateo, Cooper, and Zoey get in Mrs. Castillo's food truck, claiming there is a field trip at Dumbo Park, to Mateo's shock as his father will be there while Izzie and Mr. Oz find the rift.
Managing to persuade Mrs. Castillo to drive into the rift and into the Dream World, they discover the Sirens have taken residence in the Fantasy Realm before Mateo persuades Mrs. Castillo to exit the realm through the rift and tells Logan to comply with the latter's part in using the PA system to play loud music and wake the daydreamers as ravens were showing up as Cooper managed to tag a raven with the Wacky-Tracky and the truck managed to escape through the rift. As Izzie reprimands Mateo for going through the rift, they spot their father with a woman, whom they assume is his girlfriend before working up the courage to meet Jasmin. While serving lunch to some customers, Mrs. Castillo questions Zoey about the deception before the latter apologizes as Cooper and Mr. Oz talk about how the former tagged the raven.
