Sick Beats is the fourth episode of the second season of DREAMZzz and the twenty-fourth overall.
Synopsis[]
Logan infects the dream world with his 'sick beats' while a worried Mateo and Izzie investigate their dad's new girlfriend in the waking world.[1]
LEGO's YouTube Channel: When Logan’s viral song fizzles out, he’s determined to prove he’s a serious musician. He unleashes his sick beats on Dream Brooklyn and starts an EPIC dance party! Or so he thinks... Back in Real Brooklyn, Mateo and Izzie become suspicious of their dad’s new girlfriend.
Extended: Wanting to prove himself as a serious musician to Zoey, Logan inadvertently unleashes his ‘sick beats’ on the dream world resulting in much mayhem. In the waking world, Mateo suspects Jasmin is working with the Never Witch and convinces Izzie to help him prove it as he follows her around the city.
Plot[]
Mateo is woken up by Izzie, watching a video on his phone before she tells him it's Logan's new song before taking off for the bathroom. The song is so popular, even Cooper, Mr. Oz, Sneak, Zoey, Jasmin, and Mrs. Castillo listen to it. Arriving at school, Mateo, Izzie, Cooper, Zoey, and Mr. Oz were unamused that Logan has fans before Mr. Oz tells them to go to sleep early so that they meet up at Dream Brooklyn in order to see Royce about tracking the raven Cooper tagged yesterday.
At lunch, Mateo and Izzie discuss their mutual opinion about Jasmin as she will be at their place for dinner. Soon, Logan arrives, still modest from his song before approaching Jayden and Max, only to discover they're awaiting to a new song by Lil Flurk before it eventually is uploaded, lifting their spirits. Zoey soon tells Logan his song was catchy, but sucked before voicing her opinion on who had the best music, leaving him depressed. In class, Logan notices Dallas was listening to Lil Flurk, only to be caught by Mr. Oz. At track, Logan ends up distracted by Jayden moving to Lil Flurk, that he ends up getting piled on. While buying a burrito, Logan discovers Mrs. Castillo was also listening to Lil Flurk before leaving, not noticing an excited José passing by.
Upon getting home, José reveals to Mateo and Izzie, who are amazed by the mass groceries he has, that he'll cook mofongos for dinner to impress Jasmin before they head for the door to see Jasmin had arrived and let her in. At dinner, José and Jasmin explain to Mateo and Izzie about how they got together before talking about her hobbies, which included charging crystals under the light of a full moon and jewellery designing, including a brooch of a raven, which she believed were elegant, smart, and cunning before eventually leaving the house after they finished, worrying Mateo, who thinks she might be in league with the Never Witch.
Later, in the Dream World, Zoey finds the still depressed Logan before attempting to apologize, only for the two deciding to check if anyone else arrived instead, until Logan comes across a DJ set and prepares to upstage Zoey, who tries to remind him about to objective, but he ignores her and starts to play with the set, creating beats, which gives off sound waves before his music eventually entrances her, Zian, and other dreamers into dancing uncontrollably. The music Logan gives off causes problems to the Wacky-Tracky before Mr. Oz and Albert arrive, and end up entranced by the music themselves.
Back in the Waking World, Mateo and Izzie follow Jasmin before seeing her enter a house, leading to the two believing she is married. She eventually leaves before they follow her to another home, surprising them even more, and it continues, until they reach Mrs Castillo's house, where the two hide on top of her truck, both expressing different opinions about Jasmin, only to fall off and be discovered by her.
As Logan's party continues to go underway, Cooper, who shows up and ends up entranced himself, feels like it needs to be more great, inspiring Logan to pump up his beats, resulting in other dreamers and dreamling creatures in different realms, even the Never Witch, to be entranced by the sound waves the loud music was giving off. Eventually, it gets too much for everyone and Logan tries to stop the music, only to discover he had ended up Beast Crafting a beastly speaker from the speaker box from the whole time he had been DJ. He attempts to try and turn it off, but it knocks him back, so he transforms into his Lolo form to fight it, to no avail, and ends up being used to move the turntable by the beast.
In the Waking World, Jasmin checks on Mateo and Izzie's welfare before the two eventually confess to stalking her as they became suspicious of her and wonder why she was visiting all the houses. Jasmin soon brings them to the Brooklyn Volunteers Homeless Shelter, where she was actually collecting food from the houses as donations. Feeling ignoramus for the whole suspicion, Mateo and Izzie decide to help out.
In the Dream World, the Speaker Beast's presence starts to completely exhaust the still entranced dreamers before Logan eventually short circuits it with some Rad Radioactive. A little later, Logan returns to his depressed state about wanting his music noticed before Zoey gives him some advice about whether he will become a good musician or not before Mateo and Izzie show up. Reprimanding the two siblings for their tardiness and Logan for the whole party, Mr. Oz has them accompany him to Castle Nocturnia to meet with the Night Bureau about their objective of tracking the raven. During the ride, Logan plays the melodica, to everyone's enjoyment, but Albert's annoyance.
