Royce is the Grand Inspector of the Night Bureau and a rival with Mr. Oz, known for his strict adherence to traditions. He is Astrid's mentor.
History[]
Background[]
In 1994, Royce participated in the R.E.M. trials, where he competed against Mr. Oz.[1]
Memory Chasers[]
Sound of Sirens[]
Royce is woken up by Rupert, immediately expressing his dismay at the latter not reporting to him in Castle Nocturnia personally before switching from Rupert's phone to a hologram, where he was informed about an anomaly being a Siren, which the Brooklyn Bureau handled, but the Murky Realm was gone and the Sandman is missing, Curious, Royce informed Rupert to keep up with securing Brooklyn while the former investigates the disappearance himself.
Witchy Ways[]
Toss and Turn[]
Royce overlooks the first round of the R.E.M. trials, where 14 agents needed to rein some Bed Bugs. He was proud to see Astrid go on through, followed by Izzie, Logan, and Zoey, but expressed his disappointment to Mateo, that despite the latter going through, he nearly lost his spot for helping his teammates.
Beat the Clock[]
Royce overlooks the second round, where 7 agents need to press the alarm clock, which Mateo, Izzie, Zoey, and Astrid passed. When Zoey used her pocket watch to pass, Royce was disappointed that she broke the rules and effectively disqualified her, despite the others protests, but she didn't object. He eventually chose Logan to take Zoey's spot.
