Julie Putnam | Pegleg Putnam |
Julie Putnam is a math, music and arts teacher at Francis B. Wooley Middle School.
Appearance[]
Julie is an elderly woman at a short height, which was originally a problem for her. She has grey hair and black eyebrows. In "The Bigger Picture," she wears glasses, a pink floral sweater over a lighter pink shirt, brown pants, light brown shoes, and a silver necklace with a musical note underneath her shirt collar. As of "Short Sheeped," she replaces the sweater and shirt with a blue denim jacket and a white tank top, with a shorter chain for her necklace.
History[]
Trials of the Dream Chasers[]
The Bigger Picture[]
Julie walks along the hallway, trying to tell students to get to class before Coach Jeffries did it himself, later bumping into her, claiming he didn't see her due to her short stature. In class, Julie started to play some classical music to try and inspire her students in a correlation between math and music, until Logan started playing heavy metal music on his phone, annoying her and creates an outburst to get him to stop before telling the students to get a test done by tomorrow, despite it being the start of Sheep Week that same day. Julie was later bumped by Mr. Oz, who helps her and discover a book on piano lessons, which she claimed that she didn't have time to study for before Mr. Oz opened the door she was meant to go through.
In the Dream World, Julie was in the Double Realm's version of the school, reading books in the library when Cooper finds her and sees the test answer sheet he and the Brooklyn Bureau needed. As Cooper was about to reason with her, Logan bursts in, swipes the sheet, claimed that he didn't see her, and started to a mocking rap, causing her to grow giant and asks if he and Cooper can see her now. Regrouping with Mateo, Izzie, and Zoey, they try to figure out a way to calm her down, Mateo hoping to tell her he sees her, but Logan's rapping annoys her again. Learning she didn't want to just be seen, she wanted to be heard before they lure her to a road, where they dream craft a piano, which started to play musical notes with every step she made. Moving along them, Julie started to calm down and finishes her recital with Mrs. Castillo being the first to applaud, followed by everyone else, allowing her to revert to normal and handing the Brooklyn Bureau the answer sheet.
However, the following morning, a refreshed Julie decided to make a new test, which everyone fails, except for Cooper[1]. Julie was then confused by Coach Jeffries being frightened of her.
Short Sheeped[]
Julie watched Team Dream Chasers and The Wolves compete in a soccer match from the crowd of spectators.
=Dreamers' Block[]
Making roll calls, Julie is surprised to see many absent students.
Private Eye[]
When Nova spilled out all of Mateo's locker contents to uncover a conspiracy involving him, Julie sees his drawings and believes they're for the upcoming Fall Festival before taking them to be suggested, ignoring Mateo's protests.
Songs of the Mist[]
Julie was one of the judges holding auditions for a DJ for the Fall Festival and was appalled by Logan's mix, even making Jeffries change his mind, thus Logan was rejected.
Sweet Dreams[]
Julie is the teacher in charge of Izzie and Nova’s class.
Night Hunted[]
Julie meets up with the Brooklyn Bureau to have them work on the maze for the Fall Festival. She later showed up to tell them that Nova and Jayden will be assisting them.
The following morning, Julie supervised the build before leaving with Jeffries to try some snacks.
Season 2: Night of the Never Witch[]
Sound of Sirens[]
Julie was at the entrance when Mateo and Izzie enter the school.

Personality[]
Julie is an exceedingly calm elderly woman, but can be annoyed at anyone who bumped into her or play music other than classical music. After the Dream Chasers helped her in her dream, Julie became more joyful, but still retains her calmness. She also seems to intimidate Coach Jeffries after he saw her as a giant in the Dream World.
