- “She's trapping the entire realm in a dome. We'll be stuck in Castle Nocturnia—”
- “Together!”
— Royce and Mr. Oz, "A Tale of Two Teos" |
Doom-domes were sealing mechanisms used by the Never Witch to ensnare anything, namely Dream Realms. In order to doom-dome a realm, the Guardian's heart must be pierced.
History[]
Witchy Ways[]
After defeating the Sandman, the Never Witch trapped him and his tower in a doom-dome along with the Murky Realm.
A Tale of Two Teos[]
Mateo and Zoey, in an attempt to stop MadTeo from striking Phil, arrived at Castle Nocturnia just as Phil was about to give MadTeo a medal before the latter made his move, causing Castle Nocturnia and almost all Night Bureau members to sucked into a Doom-dome. But Astrid and the young Brooklyn Bureau Dream Chasers barely escaped the Never Witch's grasp with Mateo turning Z-Blob into his quadcopter form and retreated back to their landing.
Abilities[]
Doom-domes are capable of sucking in a single Dream Realm, as shown in A Tale of Two Teos when the Never Witch trapped the entirety of Castle Nocturnia. They are also capable of imprisoning beings inside, including both dreamers and dream creatures. A seal will be visibly generated on the Never Witch's staff, and once complete, the dome can be taken off and held. To doom-dome a realm, the Guardian's heart must be pierced.
Doom-Domes cannot be escaped unless one is far away from the realm being domed, time is reversed, or the seal is broken.[2][3] It is unknown what would happen if the dome was broken accidentally.
