Crown Control is the seventeenth episode of the second season of DREAMZzz and the thirty-seventh overall.
Synopsis[]
The team find the Crown of Control quite easily when they meet the King of the Creatures, but they realise that extracting it back to Brooklyn is much harder.

Extended: After tracking the Crown of Control to Wildoria, Zoey, Cooper, and Logan must convince the King of the Creatures to relinquish the crown, but diplomacy is a tough skill to master. Mateo is tasked with opening up a rift to the dream world by ensuring Nova has an intense dream, and Izzie’s impulsive decisions end with catastrophic consequences.
Plot[]
At the observatory, the Dream Chasers devise a plan on how to get the Crown of Control from the Beast Realm, with Izzie being energetic about it. Dizzy recommends asking Mr. Oz, who deliriously looks through notes before he says that the Beast Realm's real name is Wildoria before showing off a book of its inhabitants, including beetles that Mateo and Zoey were attacked by. As they ponder on how to take the crown from Wildoria, Nova opts out, not wanting to get involved with the beasts of Wildoria, inspiring Mateo to have a rift summoned and they can get the crown through the rift so the Never Witch can get it. Seeing a page about the Beast Master, Izzie believes they'll find answers from them. Mateo soon breaks up the team with Cooper, Logan, and Zoey searching for the Beast Master for information about the crown, Sneak to make sure Nova dreams about Wildoria, and Izzie, forcibly denying her wishes, to be with Nova, to the former's protest. Unfortunately, Mateo gets a message from Jasmin about planning his father's upcoming birthday party, which he remarked it'll be a long night.
Later that night, Mateo, Izzie, and Nova make arrangements for José's birthday party, which Mateo notes it disrupts their usual tradition before he and Izzie argue over the many changes. Eventually, they turn in for the night with Sneak giving off many animal noises around Nova to dream about Wildoria. However, Izzie is unable to fall asleep due to binging on Rad Radioactive while organising the party, forcing Mateo to switch places with her in the plan, to Izzie's protest.
Cooper, Logan, and Zoey move along Wildoria in the Dream World before coming across what looked like the construction of a castle. They then notice a man, using the Crown of Control to manipulate the inhabitants in creating his castle before spotting the three Dreamers and greets them, introducing himself as Claudius, king of the creatures. Zoey then notices Claudius is glowing, meaning he is from the Waking World before he tells her he went through a rift, living his dream of becoming king of his own domain before offering the three some refreshments. As they feast on the food, a Gryphon makes a mess, making Claudius angered, which also sent a beam towards it before all the creatures back away in fright, leaving Zoey suspicious. Claudius soon asks about their presence before Logan exposes that they need the crown from the former, but Zoey elbows him to be silent and instead tries to warn Claudius about the Never Witch wanting the crown. However, upon hearing about two other artefacts, Claudius becomes intrigued. Logan then tries to get Claudius to come back to the Waking World, but the latter refuses, preferring to stay behind and wants to know about the other artefacts as Cooper tries to get him to reconsider, given the situation and warns him about the Never Witch planning to Doom-dome Wildoria, but Claudius still refuses. He then has the creatures clear the table, but then reprimands them for their lack of manners and disciplines them, leaving the three Dreamers disgusted by his abuse of power. Zoey once more demands the crown and refuses to leave without it, but Claudius still refuses, causing them to reluctantly leave.
As Izzie selfishly laments not going to Wildoria, Mateo moves along it, attempting to locate Nova's Dream World side with the Locator before finding her. He tries to scare her by turning Z-Blob into a snake, but Nova mistakes him for a jump rope. Later, Mateo turns Z-Blob into a flytrap, but Nova makes him dance with her, until she sees a beetle and becomes afraid, inspiring Mateo with his next plan.
Meanwhile, Cooper, Logan, and Zoey follow Claudius, waiting for an opportunity to take the Crown of Control from him by attempting to get him to shower, but he has a turtle wash him before the Bedbugs scare them off. Later, Cooper tries to use a fishing rod to grab the crown, only for a vine to ensnare the hook and drag him along. Later, he tries to use balloons to lift the crown off Claudius' head, but they’re easily break off, annoying Zoey, who swings down to grab the crown by force, but is thrown down by Claudius, who accuses her of thievery before mind controlling her.
Mateo manages to bring a large beetle towards Nova, scaring her into creating a rift before telling Sneak to send Izzie to Dumbo Park, where it is located, only to drop his Dreamy-Screamy in the process.
Seeing Claudius has the mind controlled Zoey on his side, Cooper and Logan plan to bring him into the Waking World along with the crown by capturing him in a sack, which Zoey, who actually dodged the mind control blast and deceived him, was unamused. Unfortunately, Claudius eventually sends the creatures after them, making Cooper to change forms and create his Coopasaurus Rex in order for the three to escape with the still captive Claudius.
Arriving at the park, Izzie becomes amazed at seeing Wildoria on the other side of the rift before seeing Mateo's Dreamy Screamy as Zoey frantically tries to call him, making her head through it to retrieve it. The creatures manage to disintegrate the C-Rex, Cooper, Logan, and Zoey spot Mateo on the beetle before he and Z-Blob get off with Z-Blob turning into a new mode and they all make their getaway.
As they try to find the rift, Izzie, using Mateo's Dreamy Screamy, relays its location before they head for it and Mateo becomes frustrated at seeing Izzie's glowing appearance before Claudius breaks free from the sack and tries to mind control Logan, who changes into his LoLo form to fight back. Claudius then notices the rift and learns of their plan before hitting Mateo, Cooper, Zoey, and Z-Blob with mind control beams, forcing them to return to the Waking World. As Izzie attempts to head for the rift, Claudius blocks the path before she and Logan try to force the former though it, only for Claudius to mind control Nova to return to the Waking World, effectively closing the rift and trapping Izzie's physical form inside.
Soon, Wildoria starts to become dark, making Izzie and Logan discover the Never Witch had already eliminated the guardian before Claudius mind controls Logan to return to the Waking World, only to instantly return. Claudius then tries again, only for the same result before they are all caught up as the realm is soon doom domed in crystal as the Never Witch and MadTeo look at it.
