“What am I doing? I'm going to stop the Happy App, once and for all.”
— Claudius, "Outside the Box"

Claudius is a resident of Brooklyn and the former President of Happy App. At some point after the Fall Festival, he stumbled upon a rift that transported him to the Dream World, where he came across the Crown of Control. With the newfound artifact, Claudius seized the opportunity to enslave the dream creatures, declaring himself the king of Wildoria and adopting the title of the Beast Master.

However, his reign ended when the Brooklyn Bureau intervened, forcefully expelling him from Wildoria and sending him back to the Waking World against his will after the Never Witch plotted to seize the crown for her master spell. Claudius eventually secured a position at Happy App, where his understanding of the Dream World gave the Brain sentience. This led to Claudius, along with many of his colleagues, succumbing to the Brain's influence. Under the guise of Dreamsmasher, he collaborated with the cyber villains to siphon creativity from the Dream World, effectively boxing it in.

Later, after failing to learn the secrets of Dream Crafting by interrogating Mateo and allowing him to escape, Claudius was fired by the Brain and his memories were erased. Soon after, he encountered the Brooklyn Bureau in the Waking World and joined them, using memories he managed to recover to help them in their mission to stop the Brain. Then, when the Brain started its Final Protocol, Claudius helped stop it by causing a pipe in the Happy App Headquarters to leak, resulting in the water filling the building and weakening the Brain. Once the artificial intelligence was defeated, Claudius officially joined the Brooklyn Bureau, starting a training program for new recruits known as Claudio Cardio.

History[]

Night of the Never Witch[]

Crown Control[]

The Promised Crown Affair[]

Claudius received a harsh scolding from Izzie for the trouble he had caused, yet he remained unfazed by the repercussions of his choices. He asserted his authority over the Dream Animals, disregarding the imminent danger posed by the Never Witch, and planned to use the Crown of Control to sway her intentions. He pressed for the location of the other artifacts, and when Logan and Izzie tried to flee, Claudius used the Crown to turn Logan into Pandamonium, bringing him under his command. With both Logan and the Dream Animals now under his control, Claudius ordered them to track down Izzie, a pursuit that extended into the next day.

When Logan returned empty-handed, Claudius showed his displeasure, stating that he had no patience for failure, and commanded the Dream Animals to maul Logan as punishment. Just then, Izzie intervened, offering a supposed new crown that could control both animals and elements in exchange for Logan's release. However, Claudius used the Crown of Control to force Izzie to give up the new crown, convinced he had outsmarted her. This decision backfired when he realized that the new crown was nothing but a fake, a trick devised by Izzie and the Dream Animals. With their freedom restored, the Dream Animals turned against Claudius, who found himself in a state of panic, begging for mercy. Yet, Izzie chose to defend him, arguing that they should not stoop to his level and instead see him as a powerless, pitiable figure. However, the arrival of the Never Witch sent a shockwave that blown everyone back, as she came to seize the Crown of Control.

Never Forever[]

After the Never Witch made peace, the Dream Chasers bring Claudius back to the Waking World with them. He becomes annoyed at being back and tries to return, only to be stopped by Logan before he and the Dream Chasers watch Dizzy enter the rift before it closes.

Enter The Cyber Game[]

Everything's Changed[]

At some point, Claudius got a job as a janitor at Happy App, where he often daydreamed defeating the Dream Chasers. When Nero and Dawn needed a volunteer for their new simulator, they went with Claudius, whose imagination overloaded it.

The Happy App Trap (flashback)[]

Everything's Changed[]

Join the Club[]

Dreamsmasher arrived in the Candy Realm, where he was spotted by Mateo before getting Z-Blob, who swallowed a mass amount of items to spit them out before the latter is spotted. Dreamsmasher notices before being struck by a car. After Z-Blob was back to normal, Dreamsmasher questions Mateo, who blows him off and tells him to leave since the situation is already dealt with.

Whack Race 2025[]

At some point, Claudius was promoted to secretary, where he awaited some orders from Mateo and Zoey, who hid their faces so he wouldn't recognize them and gave off fake names.

Dreamocracy[]

When Izzie suggested Dreamsmasher run for Dream Keeper, he accepts. As the title cannot be given by choice, Royce made it an election for Interim Dream Keeper. When it seemed Mateo was excelling, Dreamsmasher had Happy App simulate the Nightmare King and Shark Ship, where Dreamsmasher 'defeats' them, effectively winning the election. After taking down the Dream Chasers, he revealed his identity to Izzie, shocking her.

Freak-quencies[]

Lunia[]

Dreamsmasher stormed into Castle Nocturnia, his presence commanding attention as he confronted Royce. He reminded Royce of his electoral victory, a triumph that had yet to yield the promised hourglass. Royce, caught off guard, attempted to rationalize the situation, expressing his disbelief that such a thing could be possible. However, Dreamsmasher was not in the mood for explanations; he demanded to know the whereabouts of his hourglass with an urgency that left no room for negotiation. As the tension escalated, Dreamsmasher notcied the pedestal in the main room, a sudden realization dawning on him. Royce, desperate to defuse the situation, tried to reason with Dreamsmasher, but his words fell on deaf ears. Dreamsmasher destroyed the pedestal, revealing Lunia's Hourglass nestled within. With a maniacal laugh, he seized the hourglass.

The Happy App Trap[]

Mission: Ungoggle-Able[]

Dreamsmasher is reprimanded by The Brain for destroying Lunia's hourglass, letting Astrid break Logan out, and not keeping his hands hygienic before threatening to have him replaced, until he was given another chance in order to learn how to Dreamcraft. In order to learn, Dreamsmasher frees Mateo from his box, only to foolishly request to craft an hourglass, which the latter does, encasing him in a large hourglass before Mateo escapes with Albert.

In anger for Mateo's escape, The Brain fires Dreamsmasher and removes him from the Dream World, where Dawn and Nero throw Claudius into the garbage chute, where he ends up bouncing onto the top of Mrs. Castillo's truck.

D-Shock[]

While resting on the roof, Claudius was knocked off it when the truck made a turn into City Park, where Beau was residing, causing him to land in a bush, leaving him with short term memory loss, his suit torn and his hair covered in twigs.

Trivia[]

  • He is the second human antagonist, the first being Beau.
  • The fact that Claudius was trapped in Wildoria implies that one can bring their physical body to the Dream World without a rift and be there for weeks or months, given he was there long enough to be in Mr. Oz's records about Wildoria before he was doom-domed.[5]
  • Claudius is the second main antagonist to have appeared before the installment where they are the main antagonist, with the first being the Never Witch.
