Chased Dreamers is the third episode of the first season of DREAMZzz.
Synopsis[]
To craft their own hourglasses and become official Dream Chasers for the Night Bureau, Mateo and his friends must defeat the Dream Forge guardian.
Netflix: Mateo, Izzie, Cooper and Logan begin dream chaser training. First up: learning to harness their creativity to take on the powerful Dream Forge.
Extended: To craft their own hourglasses and become official Dream Chasers for the Night Bureau, Mateo and his friends must defeat a giant sand guardian and enter the Dream Forge before the Nightmare King's forces destroy it. But when there's a dreamer in need, the kids must choose. Will they face the forge and become more powerful dreamers, or will they help their friend?[2]
Plot[]
The episode begins with the Night Hunter being chastised by the Nightmare King for his failiures, calling the Hunter weak, but going on to talk about how "everyone has a weakness" and that they will find the Brooklyn Bureau's one. We cut to a scene of Mateo, Izzie, Cooper and Logan spawning at their landing, with Logan making a joke that it looks like an inspirational poster. Izzie then says her brother that they should do something fun, with Mateo relaying that Mr. Oz told the four to wait at their landing. Suddenly a door opens, with a portal to a Dream Realm. As the group start running towards the portal Mr. Oz comes in on the Spacebus and tells them they cannot go into other realms without proper trainning and that dreams are more real to them. They fly off in the Spacebus, with Mr. Oz going on about how the Dream World is a vast place the group need to protect from corruption, as they get attacked by Grimspawn in a corrupted realm. As the ship flies away from the Grimspawn Logan is thrown around the bus due to not putting on his seatbelt, while Mr. Oz explains what an hourglass is to them. Albert manages to get the Grimspawn off the ship by electrocuting them. They then arrive at the Dream Forge after learning they get their hourglasses from there. The group starts walking through some woods as Mr. Oz and Albert explain that the forge is guarded by the Forgemaster and that once they get in they will face a test to acquire their own hourglass. Logan doesnt understand why he needs an hourglass and Mr. Oswald has to explain that he will need one in order to become a true Dream Chaser.
