Beau Okoro[2] is a former Dream Chaser of the Brooklyn Bureau. He worked alongside his wife, Hannah, and was a friend of Mr. Oz before the Nightmare King convinced him into joining his side, becoming the Night Hunter until he helped the Dream Chasers defeat the Never Witch. He is the father of Zoey.
Official description[]
For more, see Beau's profiles
The Nightmare King’s second-in-command. An expert hunter, the Night Hunter corrupts dream creatures with enchanted Shadow Bolt arrows. Gulp.[3]
Personality[]
Beau is generally ruthless, sarcastic, and intimidating.
Despite all those traits, he has some fear of the Nightmare King whenever the latter is angry or chastise him, as well as complete fear of Grimwolves and the Never Witch. He apparently enjoys being scary as he frightens some Sirens as well as Sneak, Snivel, and Susan. He loathes quitters, which he picked up when Mr. Oz abandoned him and Lunia to save Hannah, ultimately costing him his respect and regard him as a coward. He is also persuasive, as he warns Mateo that he will harm the latter's father and sister if he isn't met with demands.
Since he is Zoey’s father, he greatly loves her to the point of pretending to loathe her in hopes of keeping her from the Nightmare King and being willing to risk himself to save her and her friends, he also feels hurt when his daughter claims she hates him and doesn’t want to remember him. After the Never Witch's redemption, Beau continued to repair his relationship with his daughter, but unintentionally embarrasses her.
Beau has become a hippie who lives off the grid. Not only did he succeed in severing his ties of being the Night Hunter, but he greatly revamped himself into someone who is content in living without electricity. Though everyone now finds him eccentric since he eats weird foods such like bark jerky, kale chunks, pollen from urine, squirrel milk, and even canned pizzas. He has also taken up pottery as a creative outlet. Beau remains a capable fighter, using his pottery skills to craft weapons when necessary. However, he often finds himself drained after these efforts, as his abilities are most easily accessed in the Dream World. His concern for his daughter intensifies when the Happy App threatens to take control.
Appearance[]
Waking World[]
Beau previously had a simple black hooded jacket and bandanna to cover his mouth as well as black pants and unkempt brown hair. Sometime later, he dyed it black and groomed it, changing into a purple jacket with floral and mushroom patterns at the front, green shirt with flowers, brown pants and sandals, and a green headband.

Etymology[]
His real name called "Beau" originates from the eponymous French word which means "pretty".
Trivia[]
- His assumed fear of Grimwolves may have come from one taking his Nightmare creature form's left hand.[4]
- However, he has both hands in his human form.
- He appears to like cheesecake.[5]
- His favorite popcorn flavour is white cheddar.[6]
- He likes peppermint lollipops.[7]
- According to the Night Hunter Rants, his Dream Crafting is called Fear Crafting or Dark Crafting.
- He shares some similarities with José:
- Both are fathers of members of the Brooklyn Bureau (Zoey for Beau, Mateo and Izzie for José).
- Both served as the second-in-command of a main villain (the Nightmare King and the Brain) for some time, and during these times, their identities were both kept secret from their children.
- Both have used vehicles based on sharks (the Nightmare Galleon for Beau and the Shark Submarines for José).
